Earlier this year one of our granddaughters had to have open heart surgery. Her pediatrician discovered a heart murmur and sent her to a cardiologist to make sure it was nothing serious.
As it turned out, after several tests, the cardiologist discovered some defective valves which needed immediate repair. Olivia was only 11 months old at the time. It was a scary time for our family, but thankfully the skilled surgeon was able to make the repairs successfully. Our little granddaughter is doing great today.
As I watched her run around playing today with her brother and sister, I thought about how thankful I was for her pediatrician and cardiologist.
I know that many of you have similar stories like that in your life. I hope you were able to pause for a moment today to be thankful for your many blessings.
